Tips and recommendations for best results when cooking with KLEARCOOK® Culinary Sheets:

1. Prepare KLEARCOOK® on a clean dry surface. Remove the number of sheets required and re-roll/fold the remaining sheets into the original packaging carefully ensuring that material is clean and smoothed out before rolling/folding.  Avoid hard kinks in the material.

2. Use a clean dry cookie sheet or clean dry frying pan to cook your recipe.

3. Apply a little olive oil or melted butter on the inside portion of your KLEARCOOK® culinary sheet to create a barrier between the material and your ingredients.

4. Twist the material above the ingredients few times to create a tight seal (leaving a little HEADROOM above your ingredients to cook evenly) before tying off the bundle.

5. Use butchers twine, raffia, one of our reusable ties or a wooden clothes peg to create a tight seal.

6. If using stove top method start cooking in a cool pan on a low temperature to begin and then raise temperature to low-medium, we highly recommend using a thermal gun to check cooking surface temperatures.

7. Do not exceed the temperature limits of the material: Freeze to -40 C/-40 F, Cook to 220 C/425 F Do not cook KLEARCOOK® over an open/ naked flame.

8. Keep knives and scissors away from the material, as sharp objects can puncture the KLEARCOOK® material.

KLEARCOOK® VACPAC’s can be removed after immersion cooking process, dried on the outside and “finished” in the oven or a frying pan to brown the recipe directly in the packaging.

4. Use a heat sealer bar or vacuum sealer (or a domestic iron) to seal the material across the opening.
